Same Great Course for '07! This course has a total course length of 10.22 miles and 1,498 feet of vertical climbing in each lap, fully 2 miles shorter and 500 ft, less climbing than the course from a couple of years ago. This course is fast and fun! We've replaced "Dragon's Back" with a new downhill that's faster and not as scary. Expect top Pro times just over 45 minutes and average expert/sport times from 1-hour to 1:16. Our RealTime™ Scoring system will track every lap of every racer from every team and post the results on on-site RealTime™ terminals and on the web, in real- time.
This is fast terrain. The trails are composed of hard packed technical double track and fast ridge- top singletrack. The Start/Finish area is set in a beautiful grove of old oak trees at the center of Vail Lake's camping and RV park, near the swimming pool.
Vail Lake Resort is currently only open for special events so you won't be able to pre-ride the course until the week before the race (see Schedule of Events for practice dates & times).
