Directions to Late Registration & Race Packet Pick-up at The MARC
The Moab Arts & Recreation Center is located 1-1/2 blocks East of Rt. 191 (the main drag through town) on 100 North St. Just turn East, away from The Jail House Cafe. The MARC is on the North side of the street. All race packet pick-up and late registration is at The MARC from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Friday. There will be no late registration or race packet pick-up at the race venue. Have Google Earth? Click here to see The MARC.

Directions to The 24 Hours of Moab Race Venue
The entrance to the venue is approximately 15 miles South of Moab on Rt. 191 on the West side of Rt. 191. The entrance will be marked with signage and flagging. The entrance road itself is a 1.5 mile "class D" (rough) dirt road. It is passable by most cars, RVs and trailers with reasonable ground clearance. Please drive slowly to avoid stirring up dust and, to the greatest extent possible, avoid repeated trips in and out of the venue.

Food Service
Yes, we're camped out in a completely remote venue, 12 miles form the nearest utilities, but we do have round-the-clock food service for racers and non-racers alike with lots of stick-to-your-ribs chow (breakfast, lunch and dinner), and plenty of coffee, juices, soda and power drinks. The food service starts up on friday evening from 6p.m. to 10 p.m. and the picks-up again at 7 a.m. Saturday morning and stays open the rest of the race till 4 p.m. Sunday.

Camping
Camping is available at the race site on Wednesday through Sunday night. Camping fees are $10 per person, per night with Wednesday and Sunday nights free. As always, kids under 12 camp free. Each paid camper will be issued a wristband upon entering the venue. Racers and non-racers alike pay the camping fee to offset the costs of land access fees, insurance, road repairs, water, showers, trash removal and port-O-lets. All racers will want to camp on-site Saturday night (it's impractical to shuttle to town). No reservations are required and while there is plenty of room for everyone, we do ask that you camp as space efficiently as possible.

RV's and Trailers
If you're looking for the finest in wilderness accommodations, RV's and trailers are the way to go. Please note that there are no hook-ups for RV parking at the venue. Your RV will have to be self-contained (electric, water, septic, cable TV). Camping fees are $10 per person, per night with Wednesday and Sunday nights free. As always, kids under 12 camp free. Each paid camper will be issued a wristband by GGP Event Staff. The fee applies to RV'ers as well as campers.

For more information on lodging before or after the race: call Moab Central Reservations at (800) 748-4386 or (800) 505-5343. Or, check out their website at www.moabutahlodging.com.

NOTE: The campgrounds are divided by whether or not you intend to use generators. All campers, RV's and trailers that plan to use generators must set-up South and East of the main venue (on the left side of the road, past the main venue, as you enter).

Also, please leave Fido and other pets at home!

Light Rentals
Princeton Tec will be on sight providing lighting support and rentals with all three Switchback models. All Switchbacks are equipped with Maxbright 3W LEDs, lithium Ion batteries, and charge in only 2 hours. Burn times range from over 5 to 7 hours on high depending upon the model. Rental rates are $15 for a Switchback 1, $20 for a Switchback 2, and $25 for a Switchback 3.
To reserve lights complete this form and fax to 609-298-9601 or email to . For additional information visit www.switchback321.com or www.princetontec.com. Quantities are limited so don't be left in the dark.

Other Facilities:
Hot Showers
There's 16 hot showers available free-of-charge to all campers that run from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. on Thursday and Friday nights before the race and run continuously from 8 a.m. Saturday till 6 p.m. on Sunday. We'll also run them from 8 a.m. till 11 a.m. on Monday for any Sunday night campers.

Firewood
We've always used the proceeds from firewood sales to benefit various charities. Firewood will be sold for the usual $5/arm-load. They say wood warms you twice, once when you're getting it and once when you're burning it but perhaps it can warm you a third time, knowing your purchase has helped a great cause. Please keep your fires small and clean-burning to avoid creating too much smoke.

Port-O-lets
The fine folks at Prairie Dawg Sanitation supply more than 65 port-O-lets and service them round-the-clock. They do a great job so you'll always find a clean, well supplied facility, when nature calls. You can also have them pump your RV for $30.

Garbage Removal
When you go through the gate and purchase your wristband, you will be issued a heavy-duty garbage bag. Once filled, please dispose of these bags along with any other garbage in one of the six large dumpsters that are provided. We also ask that if you bring couches, recliners, rugs or any other household items, that you take them with you when you leave. If, in fact you were looking to dump these things in our dumpsters, what you are creating for us is an impossible situation. These things take up so much room, that we cannot get the bagged garbage in, which causes more pickups and costs us more. If you really want to dump them, they can be dropped off at Bob's Sanitation, for a $5 fee, on your way back to town. Thanks for "leaving no trace" at your campground.
