Thanks for All The Great Feedback
Not surprisingly, our recent communique that this may well be the last 24 Hours of Moab has generated a huge response. Clearly the future of the 24 Hours of Moab is something that folks care deeply about and I really appreciate all of the positive feedback and words of encouragement. I will not have time to respond to everyone prior to the race but I promise to answer each and every e-mail in the weeks following. Thanks you everyone! So many great ideas!

Phantom Teams For Real!
It is humbling and inspiring that several "Phantom" teams have indeed registered. I really wasn't expecting this but the sentiment means more to me than the revenue (although every dollar will count when it comes to paying this year's bills). Suffice to say, every phantom "team" will be receiving a event T-shirt along with my sincerest thanks.

Last Call for Online Registration!
Online Registration is Open till 10 pm MST. Walk-in Registration & Race Packet Pick-up at the MARC, in Moab 11 am - 10pm, Friday ONLY.

Go to 24 Hours of Moab Online Registration>>>

Walk-in Registration: Last minute team and solo entries for 24-hour race will be available. Each team member will need to provide an accident waiver.

Race Packet Pick-up: Teams must get their race packets (race#s, RFIDs, and swag) on Friday. Anyone from the team may pick up the team's race packet as long as all the team's on-line accident waivers are in order and there are no team changes. Otherwise accident waivers need to be filled out and brought to late registration, or you can fax them to 435-608-1699.

Alternately, any racer that has not yet signed a waiver may fill out and sign a waiver at Race Packet Pick-up. Call Moriah at 304-841-2846 if you have questions or problems with registration or race-packet pick-up.

Weather or Not....
This weeks weather has been hard on our crew, chilly, wet and windy. There's good news for the weekend though! Looks like this storm system will be moving off on Friday. Saturday looks like perfect race temperatures (mid-60s). Saturday night is forecasted for lows in the low 40's. Sunday looks to be just darn perfect! Moab Weather Forecast>>>

Course Update ....
This week's rain are definitely going to make for a fast course. Plus we've been out "grooming" the course, as we have been since 2001, sweeping a line through the power-sucking drift-sands. It's a lot of work, but it's SO worth it.

Bring the Kids!
Don't leave the little ones at home with so much fun in-store at Moab. Besides hanging out with Mom and Dad, there will be lots of other kids to play with, too! Kids 12 & under get in free.

Cliffhanger is Back Again!
The climbing wall and bounce park returns. Big fun for kids of all ages. Winners of The 24 Minutes (and remember, everyone wins) get a free trip on the climbing wall.

15th Annual Kid's Race
It's a Moab tradition and hey! They're the the future of our sport. Get 'em started right. We emphasize sportsmanship and fun. Entry to the race is free and everyone wins a prize! Helmets required. Registration opens at 3 pm and the race goes off at 4 pm. Don't miss the fun!

Bruce Hildenbrand Takes a Major Digger
We learned recently that our beloved announcer and all around cycling gadfly, Bruce Hildenbrand, took a major digger while guiding a tour in the French Alps. He's back in the states in re-hab with no less than six broken bones (OUuuuch!)

Bruce, we're gonna miss you! You've brought so much excitement to the 24 Hours of Moab, over the years. Get well soon, friend!

Our #2 go-to announcer, Dave Towle, was booked but Dave referred us to Larry Grossman. Larry's got big shoes to fill but to his credit, Larry is uniquely qualified to announce the 24 Hours of Moab. Besides announcing the last two Colorado State CX Championships and the entire Rocky Mountain Endurance series this year, Larry's also raced Moab 5 times, and done solo support for Roan Exelby a couple of years ago when he finished third in the solo division. We look forward to working with Larry and appreciate his eagerness to take on the 24 HOM gig on such short notice.

Action Shots for 2011
The folks at Moab Action Shots have been commemorating your experiences since the start of this incredible race since it's inception, in 1995. Suffice to say, this may be one of the most commemorative year's EVER.

Be sure to check out all there shots at the end of the race. (They'll set-up their booth near the start/finish chicane on Sunday morning.)

Meanwhile, if you've raced last year you can search by team # here>>>

3rd and 4th Shift Volunteers Still Needed
We have one of the fullest volunteer lists we've had in recent years but we still have some slots open on the 3rd and 4th shifts. It's a lot of fun and one of the most exciting ways to experience the race. Please check with your friends and family that may be coming see if they like to sign-up. Just go to the volunteer sign-up page>>>

Plenty of Wood for a Chilly Weekend!
Our wood concession has been doing a great job and they're fully prepared for a chillier weekend than we've had in many years. Wood will be for sale for $5 and arm-load.

Please keep your campfires burning smoke-free. It really helps keep the venue from getting too smoky!

T-shirts for Everyone!
Planning for some expected drop in our numbers, I cut-back our T-shirt order but clearly we'll have T-shirt for everyone that registers. AND everything is going to be on a BIG SALE. Plan on picking up some sweet commemorative T-shirts, Hoody Sweats, Hats, Beannies and Fleece at rock-bottom prices.

<< a sneak-peak at this year's design.

See you Soon !
Despite the rough weather, our staff has been busting butt (as usual) to get everything ready. It's going well and we're psyched to see everyone start pouring-in.

Safe travels and best wishes for a great race,
